BENGALURU: Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, showcased its advanced portfolio of commercial passenger mobility solutions at the Prawaas 5.0 exhibition in Bengaluru on Thursday. The highlight of the showcase was the official launch of the all-new Tata Ultra Prime and Tata Starbus Prime bus ranges, designed for school, staff, and tourism applications.

The newly launched next-generation ranges feature refreshed styling, enhanced interiors, and lower noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels to ensure a smoother travel experience. Aiming to elevate passenger safety, these buses come equipped with 29 advanced safety features, including a Driver Monitoring System, a 360-degree camera, an Intelligent Transport System (ITS), and a Reverse Parking Assist System (RPAS).

Alongside the primary launches, Tata Motors presented a comprehensive lineup of vehicles spanning conventional and electric powertrains. Key exhibits included the Tata LPO 1620 CNG, designed to lower operating costs for intercity and intracity transport, and the premium Ultra Prime LPO 412 platform tailored for long-distance tourism.

The company also emphasized sustainable transit by showcasing the zero-emission Tata Magic EV for last-mile connectivity, boasting a range of up to 120 km on a single charge. For institutional needs, the Ultra Skool 9/9 EV was introduced as an electric school bus featuring fast-charging capabilities and an optional paint scheme designed specifically for neurodivergent children. Additionally, the purpose-built Ultra Prime RE Concept for urban city operations made its debut in India.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Anand S, Vice President and Business Head of Commercial Passenger Vehicles at Tata Motors, stated that the new portfolio reflects a deep understanding of evolving customer needs. He highlighted that these solutions are engineered to help fleet operators minimize operating costs, maximize uptime, and deliver a superior travel experience.
